Formaldehyde regulation by European Union

The EU has issued legislation to regulate formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing substances in articles. The new law will be implemented in phases, starting August 6, 2026.

Because of this, on July 17, 2023, the European Union (EU) issued the regulation to regulate formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing substances in articles.

By using Moldefeat, formaldehyde emissions from plywood can be reduced to the limits set by the REACH regulation. Also, by applying Moldefeat indoors, the amount of formaldehyde in the indoor space can be reduced to the REACH limit.
